I've been following the cataclysm coverage very closely even if I haven't been posting on this blog. In fact, that's mostly what's been keeping me from posting. Too much preparation/giddiness for cata...
Looks like I'll be rolling a lock. That set makes me salivate.

Eve Online
I've gotten really tired of WoW. Currently, I'm getting my fix from Eve Online, but will start videos up as soon as cataclysm hits.

Shadow or Affliction?
Now, most players, when asked which class is more viable and/or fun, will recommend whichever class they have less experience with or haven't played at all. It's human nature to always think the grass is greener on the other side. However, I am going to try to judge this completely objectively.
I would say affliction is more viable in arenas and battlegrounds. They are compatible with more comps and have more utility.
Shadow priests, on the other hand, have much more raw damage and a better ohshit button. They have some strong 3s comps, but are basically stuck with a rogue in 2s.
In Cataclysm I really think shadow priests will be stronger than affliction for the first few months and especially effective in rated battlegrounds. You also keep the versatility of being able to dual spec disc if shadow isn't needed/viable for a comp/bg you are running.

Raiding?
I've been playing the crap out of my shaman and a disturbing trend has come to my attention through my experiences in random dungeons.
Everyone is bad. You cannot count on anyone but yourself to do anything requiring any amount of thought or accuracy or timing. One must always assume the worst and work through it from there because more often than not, you're running with biggest morons on the whole battlegroup. In Pit of Saron, for example, there are a few simple methods to make the instance much shorter. Most people know them, so I won't take the time to explain them all. They are all basic maneuvers that absolutely no one can do right. And when I say no one, I mean that in the most literal way.
/end rant

3.3.5
Ahhh, maintenance time. Made even more fun by not having anything to do until servers come up. My life is great heh :). Having 4 80s is not boosting my self esteem.
Anyways, rawr I got my shaman 80 yesterday. Noone ever told me how terrible enhancement was. I pvped a lot at 78 and 79 in the crafted pvp gear as enhance. Yeah, I'm freaking decked with 4k more health than everyone, 400 resilience, and like 2.5k attack power. I still hit like a wet noodle and just didn't feel effective at all. Enh shamans are basically just purge bots with some cool totem effects.
Ruby Sanctum looks cool, but I'll never do it. Raiding sucks and I never do more than pug easy content. The Real ID thing will definitely get some use, too.

Xbox 360 Kinect
Kinect is the new motion sensing platform for Xbox 360.
I took a look at the page and found the pics hilarious.
First pic: Guy thinks he might actually fall off the raft and into the raging rapids. I suspect hallucinogenics.
Second pic: Girl pretending to fly. She looks blazed.
Third pic: Some guy is giving a massive jumping internet high five to everyone who visits the page and scrolls that far.

WoW sucked me back in
Just unfroze my WoW account today. I don't think I'll ever play another game again. Blizzard owns my life. :(
